DAY 01: SAN JOSE DE COSTA RICA

DAY 02: SAN JOSÉ – TORTUGUERO

Full board. This day we leave very early for Tortuguero, taking the Braulio Carrillo highway which will show us its majestic nature. We will stop in Guápiles to have a delicious breakfast, and then follow the route to the boarding place, where we begin the adventure by boat which will allow us to see the great variety of flora and fauna that this area has. Upon arrival at the hotel, a delicious lunch and a moment of rest await us. In the afternoon we will go to the town of Tortuguero, where we will be able to appreciate the great variety of handicrafts and we will also visit the Green Turtle Conservation Center, there they will show us a video of these beautiful animals. DAY 03: CANALS OF TORTUGUERO

Full board. A new day, which can take a walk through the exuberant paths of the hotel, where nature lovers will be able to observe many species of birds, mammals and reptiles. DAY 04: TORTUGUERO – SARAPIQUI

DAY 05: SARAPIQUÍ

DAY 07: ARENAL – FREE DAY

DAY 08: ARENAL – MONTEVERDE

DAY 09: MONTEVERDE – FREE DAY

Breakfast. The small community of Monteverde is famous for its association with the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and is a small town located near the entrance to the cloud forest. Monteverde was founded by the Quaker or Vaquera community that migrated from North America to Costa Rica in the 1950s. The Monteverde area of ​​Costa Rica is world famous for its cloud forest. DAY 10: MONTEVERDE – BIJAGUA

Breakfast. Check-out after breakfast. Then, get ready to continue your trip to Bijagua, a region famous for being the gateway to the Río Celeste waterfall and the Tenorio National Park. DAY 11: BIJAGUA

Breakfast. Today you will have free time to explore the area. Without a doubt, taking a walk that will take you to discover the turquoise waters of the paradisiacal Río Celeste is highly recommended during your stay. Río Celeste gets its name from the unusual color of its waters. The deep turquoise hue is due to a phenomenon known as Mie scattering. In summary, aluminum and silicon particles from the Buena Vista River meet the stream and its acidic waters, the resulting combination causes the suspended particles in the Celeste River to scatter light, creating the turquoise color.

As you meander through the Tenorio Volcano National Park, the river path includes a waterfall, Laguna Azul, a suspension bridge, and the Borbollones, a section of the river that bubbles with hot springs. The trail is 3.7 miles long, out and back. Please note that the duration of the tour may take around three hours to complete.
