This 7.5-mile journey is made between the small communities of La Virgen and Chilamate. It is special for beginners and intermediates. It is a very safe section, since it is made up of rapids followed by crystalline pools. On its way you can enjoy four rapids, class III and around twenty, class II. All of a very good technical level.

We start our trip picking up the passengers at the hotels in the Arenal Zone starting at 8:00 a.m. The journey to the river is made by taking the road to the pier, then we pass through the communities of Aguas Zarcas, Venecia, Río Cuarto and San Miguel. During this tour, the guide will give you all the details of the different towns that we visit, their way of life, the characteristics of the natural environment and, in general, the economic and social activities to which they are dedicated. By giving 10:30 a.m. We will be in Chilamate, on the banks of the mighty Sarapiquí River. The journey begins after a safety talk given by one of our guides. The Sarapiquí River is characterized by its crystalline and practically uncontaminated waters, thanks to the sparse population located on its banks and the protection of its banks. This allows its travelers to enjoy a landscape full of natural life that they discover thanks to the advice of our naturalist guides.

During the vibrant tour we will find pools where you can swim and cool off as well as challenge rapids such as: “Hueco Gringo”, “Confusión”, “Super Man”, “Montaña Rusa”, “Fuerza Aérea” among others. Halfway through, there will be a stop in one of the river paths, a backwater area, where tourists can swim and taste delicious seasonal tropical fruits, which are prepared and served by the guides. At the end of the rafting trip, after three fantastic hours of fun, tourists will be able to dry off and change their clothes and then enjoy a hot lunch at our riverside facilities. Later we started the return by the same route, to arrive at La Fortuna around 3:30 p.m.
