Day 1San José

Day 2San José – Arenal / la Fortuna
Shared shuttle transfer from the Central Valley to La Fortuna de San Carlos, home of the Arenal Volcano. A journey through the northern region of Costa Rica with views of the volcanic mountain range. Approximate duration 3.5 hours, with stops at the main hotels.
Day 3Arenal / la Fortuna
Free day to enjoy the area. Options: visit Arenal Volcano National Park, relax in hot springs (Baldi, Tabacón, Ecotermales), zip-lining, hanging bridges, rafting, horseback riding, a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall, or explore the Venado Caverns.
Day 4Arenal / la Fortuna – Rincón de la Vieja
Shared shuttle transfer from La Fortuna to Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, crossing the Guanacaste mountain range. Approximate duration 3 hours.
Day 5Rincón de la Vieja
Free day to explore Rincón de la Vieja National Park. Options: a walk to the mud pots and fumaroles, the La Cangreja waterfall, natural hot springs, zip-lining, river tubing, horseback riding through the dry forest, bird watching (toucans, macaws, trogons), or a visit to a traditional cattle ranch.
Day 6Rincón de la Vieja – Guanacaste
Shared shuttle transfer from Rincón de la Vieja to Tamarindo, on the North Pacific beaches of Guanacaste. Service with stops at the main hotels.
Day 7Guanacaste
Free day to enjoy the Guanacaste beaches. Options: surfing, diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, kayaking, horseback riding on the beach, a catamaran cruise, bird watching, a visit to nearby national parks, or simply relax by the hotel pool with an ocean view.
