Day 1San José

Private transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport to your hotel in San José. Welcome at the arrivals area by one of our representatives. Approximate duration 30 minutes.

Day 2San José – Manuel Antonio / Quepos

Shared shuttle transfer from the Central Valley to the Central Pacific coast. The route passes through Jacó and the Quepos area before reaching Manuel Antonio National Park. Approximate duration 3.5 hours, with stops at hotels.

Day 3Manuel Antonio / Quepos

Free day to enjoy the beautiful Central Pacific beaches. Optional activities: a guided walk in the National Park, kayaking in the mangrove, rafting, zip-lining, horseback riding, a catamaran cruise, surf lessons, or simply relaxing by the hotel pool.

Day 4Manuel Antonio / Quepos – Monteverde

Shared shuttle transfer from Manuel Antonio to the Monteverde mountains. Approximate duration 4.5 hours.

Day 5Monteverde

Free day to explore Monteverde and its incredible biodiversity: more than 400 bird species (including the resplendent Quetzal), 100 mammal species, 120 amphibians and reptiles, and 2,500 plant species. Optional activities: zip-lining, hanging bridges, a visit to the Cloud Forest Reserve, serpentarium, frog pond, butterfly garden, horseback riding, coffee tour, night walk.

Day 6Monteverde – Arenal / la Fortuna

Transfer via the Car-Boat-Car system across Lake Arenal: an overland stretch to the dock, a lake crossing with spectacular views, and a final stretch on to La Fortuna.

Day 7Arenal / la Fortuna

Free day to enjoy the area. Options: visit Arenal Volcano National Park, relax in hot springs (Baldi, Tabacón, Ecotermales), zip-lining, hanging bridges, rafting, horseback riding, a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall, or explore the Venado Caverns.

Day 8Arenal / la Fortuna – Tortuguero

We depart very early toward Tortuguero via the Braulio Carrillo Highway, showcasing its majestic nature. We stop in Guápiles for a delicious breakfast and continue to the boarding point, where we begin our boat adventure that allows us to see the great variety of flora and fauna in this rainforest zone. In the afternoon we head to the Town of Tortuguero, where we appreciate its varied handicrafts. Accommodation in Tortuguero.

Day 9Tortuguero

We start the day with a guided walk along the lodge trails to appreciate the lush tropical rainforest, where nature lovers observe numerous species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. In the afternoon we continue admiring the wonders of the Caribbean on a tour of the Tortuguero Canals, known as the "Amazon of Costa Rica". During nesting season (July to October), there is a possibility to witness the sea turtle nesting that gives the area its name.

Day 10Tortuguero – Caribe Sur / Puerto Viejo

Boat departure along the Tortuguero canals. Lunch in Guápiles before continuing to the next destination. Shared shuttle transfer from Guápiles / Siquirres to Puerto Viejo / Cahuita / Manzanillo, approximate duration ~2.5h, with stops at the main hotels in each area.

Day 11Caribe Sur / Puerto Viejo

Free day to explore the Caribbean beaches and their reefs. Options: snorkeling or diving in Cahuita National Park, a visit to the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, surf lessons, a chocolate tour, a bike ride along the coast, or enjoy the local Afro-Caribbean cuisine.

Day 12Caribe Sur / Puerto Viejo – Bocas del Toro

Arrival in the Bocas del Toro region and a boat crossing to the archipelago's islands, where the pace slows down and the Caribbean shows its most authentic side, amid crystal-clear waters and colorful towns.

Day 13Bocas del Toro

Immerse yourself in the Caribbean paradise of Bocas del Toro. Sail among islands of crystal-clear waters, snorkel over coral reefs teeming with life and relax on white-sand beaches like Red Frog or Cayo Zapatilla. Visit Isla Bastimentos Marine National Park, watch dolphins in Dolphin Bay and let yourself be carried away by the laid-back rhythm of the island towns, with their music, their warm people and their unforgettable sunsets.

Day 14Bocas del Toro

Immerse yourself in the Caribbean paradise of Bocas del Toro. Sail among islands of crystal-clear waters, snorkel over coral reefs teeming with life and relax on white-sand beaches like Red Frog or Cayo Zapatilla. Visit Isla Bastimentos Marine National Park, watch dolphins in Dolphin Bay and let yourself be carried away by the laid-back rhythm of the island towns, with their music, their warm people and their unforgettable sunsets.

Day 15Bocas del Toro – Ciudad de Panamá

Arrival in Ciudad de Panamá by road. Along the way you can appreciate the contrast between the green of the interior and the modern skyline of the capital, a vibrant city on the shores of the Pacific, marked by the history of its famous Canal.

Day 16Ciudad de Panamá

Discover the fascinating Ciudad de Panamá, where the old and the modern meet. Walk the cobblestone streets of the Casco Antiguo, with its colonial squares, historic churches and lively corners. Marvel at the imposing Panama Canal and watch the ships pass through the Miraflores Locks or at the Agua Clara Visitor Center. Stroll along the seafront Cinta Costera, explore the ruins of Panamá Viejo and, at dusk, enjoy the capital's lively cuisine and nightlife.

Day 17Tocumen Airport

Private transfer from Panama City to Tocumen Airport. Door-to-door service.
