Jour par jour

Jour 1San José

Private transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport to your hotel in San José. Welcome at the arrivals area by one of our representatives. Approximate duration 30 minutes.

Jour 2San José – Arenal / la Fortuna — Rafting On the Pacuare River

An epic journey down one of the world's most spectacular rivers, where adventure and pristine nature combine in a single unforgettable day. Navigate 18 miles and 52 Class II-III rapids through the majestic Pacuare Gorge, featuring legendary sections such as Terciopelo Snake and Double Drop, while toucans, sloths, and morpho butterflies accompany you from the tropical rainforest. Midway through the run, the Huacas waterfall plunges 150 feet beside the river, leaving you breathless. The adventure concludes at the Exploration Center in Siquirres, where you'll enjoy a hot shower, change of clothes, and a toast to celebrate the experience before your return. Upon completion, transfer (drop-off) to your hotel in Arenal / La Fortuna. Shared shuttle transfer from the Central Valley to La Fortuna de San Carlos, home of Arenal Volcano. Journey through Costa Rica's northern zone with views of the volcanic mountain range. Approximately 3.5 hours with stops at major hotels.

Jour 3Arenal / la Fortuna — Arenal Volcano Hike With Hot Springs + Dinner (Baldi)

Trek the northwestern flank of Arenal Volcano along the El Silencio viewpoint trail, where ancient lava flows peek through the vegetation and Lake Arenal comes into view just as sunset arrives. A bilingual naturalist guide reveals the history of this magnificent volcano and the wildlife of the National Park. End your day immersed in the thermal waters of Baldi, the area's most complete resort featuring pools at varying temperatures and water slides, followed by dinner with volcano views. An experience that captures everything that makes La Fortuna special: adventure, nature, and relaxation.

Jour 4Arenal / la Fortuna

Free day to enjoy the area. Options: visit Arenal Volcano National Park, relax in hot springs (Baldi, Tabacón, Ecotermales), zip-lining, hanging bridges, rafting, horseback riding, a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall, or explore the Venado Caverns.

Jour 5Arenal / la Fortuna – Monteverde

Transfer via the Car-Boat-Car system across Lake Arenal: an overland stretch to the dock, a lake crossing enjoying views of the volcano and the mountains, and a final stretch on to Monteverde.

Jour 6Monteverde — Extreme Park Canopy Tour

Monteverde's most extreme canopy experience, featuring 16 ziplines ranging from 75 to 150 meters high over cloud forest with waterfall views. Five of the lines are extraordinarily long: 467, 425, 600, 750 meters, and 1 kilometer. The adventure includes at no additional cost a 30-meter rappel, the 80-meter Tarzan Swing, the 1 km aerial Superman flight, and the Underground Superman through a 240-meter tunnel beneath the mountain. Modern equipment, expert guides, and comprehensive safety briefing before you begin.

Jour 7Monteverde – Guanacaste

Shared shuttle transfer from Monteverde to Tamarindo, on the North Pacific beaches of Guanacaste, approximate duration ~3.5h. Service with stops at the main hotels.

Jour 8Guanacaste

Free day to enjoy the Guanacaste beaches. Options: surfing, diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, kayaking, horseback riding on the beach, a catamaran cruise, bird watching, a visit to nearby national parks, or simply relax by the hotel pool with an ocean view.
