We start at 7:30 a.m. with a visit to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a 3km trail featuring 15 bridges ranging from 5 to 100 meters in length and reaching heights of up to 60 meters, an spectacular setting in primary humid tropical forest ideal for birdwatching, observing plants, reptiles, mammals, and insects. We return to town and drive just 15 minutes to La Fortuna Waterfall. At its base there is a swimming pool surrounded by enormous rocky canyons perfect for relaxation. You will also enjoy spectacular views of the valley and tropical forest. After this refreshing swim we drive back to town for lunch at a local restaurant in the village of La Fortuna. Afterward, we enjoy a hike on the Silence Trail through humid tropical forest. There is an opportunity to observe a wide variety of plants, wildlife, the magnificence of Arenal, and Arenal Lake. Places visited: Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano.

Jour 7Arenal / la Fortuna – Golfo Dulce

Private transfer from La Fortuna to the airport. Approximate duration 3 hours. SANSA domestic flight from Juan Santamaría International Airport to Puerto Jiménez on the Osa Peninsula overlooking Golfo Dulce. About one hour of flight time instead of an extensive overland transfer; southern access to Corcovado National Park. Upon arrival, a representative will meet passengers at the airfield and transfer them to their hotel. From the Golfito dock, the lodge receives us for the final leg of the journey: a scenic 30-minute boat ride across the calm waters of Golfo Dulce —where dolphins are often spotted— until we dock at Playa Cativo. This boat transfer is included by the hotel.

Jour 8Golfo Dulce — Bioluminescence Expedition

Bioluminescence is a chemical reaction produced by certain living organisms to emit light. When night falls, the adventure truly begins: fish schools leave a phosphorescent trail that looks like a glowing cloud underwater. The boat excursion allows you to see how the sea lights up and sparkles with the mere movement of your hands. The best visibility occurs near new moon dates. The biology of dinoflagellates and how to identify bioluminescent organisms will be explained.

Jour 9Golfo Dulce — Sunset Cocktails and Tapas

In the afternoon, a serene and romantic journey to witness sunsets over the magical waters of Golfo Dulce, framed by the rainforest of Piedras Blancas National Park. As the sky transforms into golden, pink, and crimson hues, the experience unfolds aboard the elegant floating platform "Piguilo", designed for comfort and relaxation. Gently navigating calm waters, wine and tapas are served to complement the moment, and a personal mixologist prepares signature cocktails according to each guest's preferences.

Jour 10San José

In the morning, after breakfast, the lodge transfers us by boat back across Golfo Dulce to the Golfito dock (transfer included). Free day to explore the capital: visit the National Theatre, the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, the Central Market with its varied gastronomy, or tour the historic neighborhoods of Barrio Amón and Escalante.
