Corcovado National Park is a reserve in the southwest of the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica that protects various tropical ecosystems. Considered one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, its wildlife includes scarlet macaws, trogons, toucans, tapirs, jaguars, four types of monkeys, sloths, anteaters, and much more.
La Sirena station is where the ranger station headquarters is located and is the heart of Corcovado National Park. Located right on the coast, you can spend the night at this station before continuing through the rest of the park. This is the most difficult station to reach, but it is the only station located on the Corcovado plain where wildlife is easier to observe.
