This park is one of the most important monuments that we have in the protection of our dry forest and our freedom after independence, there is the famous "Casona" that was a pillar in the defense of our sovereignty in 1856 by a Costa Rican army made up of peasants, where they defeated the filibusters who wanted to take over all of Central America.

Santa Rosa together with the Guanacaste conservation area have close to 2% of the world's biodiversity, so in the walk through the dry forest we have the chance to see animals such as monkeys, deer, reptiles and a large number of birds. After the walk we headed towards Liberia where you can walk through the so-called White City of Costa Rica, since in the past the streets were made of limestone, Adobe houses and people dressed in white clothes to cushion the heat.
