Isla del Caño is an important historical archaeological site for Costa Rica, where two of the mysterious perfectly round spheres from the pre-Columbian era were discovered along with other historical items.

The pristine waters of Caño Island are some of the bluest in the country and are home to a spectacular variety of impressive marine flora and fauna, as well as some beautiful coral reefs.
