DAY 01: SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA

Welcome to Costa Rica! One of our representatives will be waiting for you at the International Airport, and then entrance to the hotel chosen in the program. Lodging in San Jose.

DAY 02: SAN JOSE – ARENAL

D) We leave for the northern part of the country, La Fortuna de San Carlos, home of the imposing Arenal Volcano. Lodging in Arenal.

DAY 03: ARENAL VOLCANO

D) The Arenal volcano has a height of 1,670 meters above sea level. The volcano is located within the Arenal Volcano National Park. It began its last and current period of activity in 1968. Since that date, it has constantly emitted gases and water vapors, with some explosions with the emission of pyroplastic materials and sometimes strong rumbles. DAY 04: ARENAL – BIJAGUA: RIO CELESTE

D) Departure to Bijagua. Nestled between the twin volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles, the town of Bijagua is home to an astonishing diversity of great natural beauty and abundant flora and fauna. Located in the northwest of the exuberant forest of the Tenorio Volcano, in Alajuela, Bijagua offers a wide variety of activities for nature lovers and adventure seekers in a rich tropical forest environment. DAY 05: BIJAGUA: RIO CELESTE

D) Bijagua is covered with hectares of farm pastures with citrus and vegetable crops. A bird watcher's paradise, the forests here provide an all-important habitat for green parrots, macaws, hummingbirds, and toucans. The Río Celeste is one of the main attractions in Costa Rica. Located within the Tenorio Volcano National Park, its visit is almost mandatory. Being located in a volcanic area, the chemical elements present make the water take on that light blue color that gives it its name. You can walk along the river and during the walk you will visit a waterfall, a viewpoint from which you can see the volcano, a pool "boiling" because of the gases that come out of the earth, the place where the water is dyed, and a small pool of hot water in which we can bathe. DAY 06: BIJAGUA: RIO CELESTE – RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA

D) This day they will move to, Guanacaste is one of the best destinations in Costa Rica, specifically to Rincón de la Vieja. In one of the lodges that are located on the slopes of this beautiful Volcano; this is one of the tourist places that little by little makes its way into the already consolidated volcanic destinations of Costa Rica. DAY 07: RINCON DE LA VIEJA

D) You can take advantage of the day to visit the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park, this is a volcanic massif made up of nine eruptive foci. An impressive and unforgettable display of the power of the depths of the planet. It has several trails that take you to discover its different and unique attractions, such as the active crater, two beautiful waterfalls, and many fumaroles and pans. Lodging in Rincon de la Vieja.

DAY 08: RINCON DE LA VIEJA – MONTEVERDE

D) We leave early for the small community of Monteverde is famous for its association with the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and is a small town located near the entrance of the cloud forest. Monteverde was founded by the Quaker or Vaquera community that migrated from North America to Costa Rica in the 1950s. Since your arrival in Monteverde you will find that much of this town remains untouched by modernism and most of its inhabitants maintain a style of rural life. This place is charming and quiet, perfect for those who want to enjoy nature, the town of Monteverde is a current community that works as an agricultural stable and produces the best cheese in Costa Rica. DAY 09: MONTEVERDE

D) The original Monteverde Rain Forest Reserve and the new Santa Elena Rain Forest Reserve. In these forests you can enjoy the rain forest climate and a walk along the trails among the varieties of plants and magnificent trees, about 450 species of birds have been seen in the Monteverde area. At a certain time of the year the native birds are joined by those that immigrate from North America. The resplendent quetzals with their long tails are in various places in the area and you can sometimes hear the “bong” of the bell birds. These areas are nestled in the mountain range and protect by providing a habitat for hundreds of species of plants and animals. DAY 10: MONTEVERDE – PUNTARENAS

(All Inclusive) Transfer to the province of Puntarenas, which is a coastal area with beautiful beaches and great biodiversity. Its islands along its entire maritime zone have been converted into wildlife refuges, biological reserves and national parks. It is one of the most significant tourist regions in the country, due to its abundant natural wealth such as islands, inlets, beaches and natural treasures of great beauty. Lodging in Puntarenas.

DAY 11: PUNTARENAS

(All Inclusive) Free day to carry out different recreational activities in the coastal area such as Canopy, Tours, Horseback Riding, visits to Botanical Gardens, Surf classes or simply relax in the pool of the all-inclusive Hotel. Puntarenas Lodging.

DAY 12: PUNTARENAS – SAN JOSE

D) Transfer from the Pacific zone to the capital San José, to spend the last night in the capital where you can do your last minute shopping, visit places of interest or just rest. Lodging in San Jose.

DAY 13: SAN JOSÉ – INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

D) At the indicated time one of our representatives will take you to the Juan Santamaría International Airport, for your return home.
