We traveled to a small town called Atirro, which is fifteen minutes from Turrialba. A guide will give a description of what travelers must do during the tour and will give a safety talk on the rules and procedures for horseback riding.

During the two-hour horseback ride, travelers will pass through sugarcane plantations and coffee plantations and secondary forest. In the jungle, the guide will explain the development of secondary forests and native plants. Travelers can observe a great variety of birds such as: orioles, tanagers, black guans, and other animals such as: sloths and monkeys.

In addition, the ride will take travelers to areas with breathtaking views of natural beauty.

Tourists will stop for a break, to enjoy a viewpoint, of the entire Turrialba Valley and the surrounding mountains.

The tour lasts approximately 2:00 hours, no previous riding experience is necessary and clients must bring extra clothes to change into.
